Project Overview:
Ms. Murphy reached out to GTLux Interiors to upgrade the flooring throughout her Victorian-era home. The goal was to replace the worn, uneven surfaces with a timeless hardwood finish that would complement the property’s historic charm while offering modern durability and easy maintenance.

We selected European oak hardwood planks with a rich, warm stain to enhance the natural grain and add a touch of elegance to every room. The planks were laid in a classic herringbone pattern in the main living areas to create visual interest, while bedrooms and hallways featured straight plank installations for a clean, harmonious flow.
Innovative Features:
Dust-Free Sanding Process: Ensured minimal disruption and a cleaner work environment during installation.
Eco-Friendly Finish: Used low-VOC sealants for a healthier indoor environment.
Underfloor Heating Compatibility: Installed with a system-friendly adhesive for comfort during colder months.
Protective Coating Technology: Multi-layer UV protection to resist fading and surface damage.
Challenges & Solutions:
The original subfloor had uneven surfaces and moisture issues, which required specialized leveling compounds and a vapor barrier to ensure longevity. Our team coordinated with structural specialists to address these concerns before installation, ensuring a flawless final result.

Final Outcome:
The transformation is both striking and functional — the new floors bring warmth, elegance, and continuity to the entire home, instantly increasing its value and comfort. The subtle sheen and intricate herringbone design in the main areas create a high-end aesthetic that will last for decades.
